Maybe you guys should update the HoNclient i bought a new MacBook
when i installed it, i cant even update to the latest one… here in this family
we have 3 macbook

i tried with the 3 macbook and OOHH MAA GAWWSSHH!!
same ****, i cant **** update it…
retarded S2!!! when i registered all i see is 50k people playing or 40k, dont remember
and now i see 20k
good job… loosing lots and lots of player will cause this a lose for you and a win for me =D

Every once in awhile we play with a guy like this or I see a thread on the forums of some lifenewb complaining about how HoN does not work on their Mac. I can’t take it anymore, this shit has to stop. Its not just HoN though, no, it is every game for the last 20+ years.
If you are going to buy an OS with <10% market share, you deserve to have problems running applications. THIS IS AMERICA; we have a free market that everyone claims makes us the greatest country in the world but that does not entitle you to make illogical choices and expect your life to be easy. Ya ya ya, I know that Macs are “easy to use” and anyone who does heavy video, photo, or any other type of editing swears by their Mac. I also know that Apple, even though it is overpriced Chinese plastic, is the cool thing for now. Everyone wants to be cool/hip with their technology now and no one wants to go to the days were talking about how many bits are in a byte and getting blasted into the nerd galaxy[Ed note: 8 is the answer].
And now for my point. The guy above lays the blame on a small publisher for his Macbook problems and there are multiple reasons why it makes me nerd rage. As stated above, if you are going to use your God given right(The White USA God not the Brown bearded one or the naked chick with all the arms) to buy an OS where it is not in a company’s best interest to publish for…sorry you are just fucking yourself. Recently, it has been easier for companies to produce games for Mac but it does not always come easy. But why should it? Small to mid-sized gaming companies do not have the resources to get every idiot that is waiting for Steve Jobs’ next “miracle”.
Which leads to my next point. For HoN and various other PC games, they do support Macs but you just have to work a little harder to get it to run. The nerd rager above didn’t even bother to look at this he just dropped 2 grand on his new toy and lost it when he couldn’t log on and pick scout or chronos. Sorry to break it to you, it has been like this for years and likely will never change. Games are made for PCs because it is the dominant OS, but at least you only have one mouse button!
As my rage dies down I can only say that, in the end, I am glad this nerd wont be gaming anymore. From his short, yet rage inducing post, I can see that he is what I loath about playing online games. Anyone that buys a Macbook, has a nerd freakout when he tries to install HoN and it doesn’t load, makes a threatening post to “The Man”, says “OOHH MAA GAWWSSHH!! ” and smiles, and signs a post saying he represents a community; I know that he will not be missed.
Hopefully he will find peace in DOTA 2.
