In the gaming world, the big-business these days is in “free-to-play” with the option for micro-transactions. In the real world, it’s called “Kardashian” with the option of sperm deposits.
In an earlier piece, I advocated for the notion that Blizzard has effectively blurred the lines between an MMO and the single-player action-RPG with Diablo 3. A week after D3′s launch, Marvel has already announced an “MMO action-RPG” of their own: Marvel Heroes.
Have you ever wanted to play as your favorite Marvel character, but felt that their powers and abilities were just better suited to stagnant overhead views and walking in straight lines? I mean forget flying around — FINALLY a game that understands what we all want: Black Widow with an equitable chance to min-max her way to the (on) top.
Bart Scott and millions of gamers agree:
*srsly go fuck yourself!
