lolz, newb got blasted off the map
I just finished my first game of HeroesON and I have to say that it was also the last game of that POS I will ever play.
I was playing a champion named Tundra and soon after the game started I found out the shop is a confusing mess and finding any Doran’s Blade or equivelant life steal item to keep my health up during laning phase was going to be very difficult. Eventually I noticed that the minions had already spawned and people were getting experience and gold in their lanes while I was still fussing with the awful shop, so I just bought a healing potion and boots to get to my lane as quick as possible.
That was when the game started going downhill much more quickly.
Shortly after I got to the lane the other two enemy champions kept using some extremely long range spell on me every time I went in to get a last hit. It might have been their basic attacks but if so they both had langer range than even caitlyn and that made it too dangerous for me to go for any last hits because I would lose tons of HP and they would just kill their own minions before I could get close enough to hit them anyways.
I tried using my first spell to harass them back but it was slower than I expected and I missed it the first time and then was surprised to find that it took all of my mana and it was going to be another 10 minutes before I would have enough mana to cast it again. Instead I leveled my second skill which spawned some bird that as far as I could tell did nothing at all. Even more annoying was that I couldn’t move the bird while holding alt and had to manually click it and move every time, which was too much effort and pointless anyways since it died in 1 hit and couldn’t even attack people. I still have no idea why they would give a champion a useless spell, perhaps they just ran out of ideas. My third skill turned out to be the only decent one as it would flash me towards which ever enemy I used it on and actually do a little bit of damage without taking away my entire mana pool.
I managed to get a few last hits by using my third spell on the enemy minions, but my teammate must’ve been extremely greedy because he raged at me, told me to go back to LoL, and left our lane to jungle. It seems to me jungling in HeroesON must be extremely easy because somehow he made our minions follow him into the jungle and kill the camps for him, which left me alone in the lane without any minion support and I promptly died to some tombstone stun that seemed to last 20 seconds while a bunch of their minions auto attacked me to death.
After respawning I discovered my death had robbed me of all the gold I had earned from the entire game thus far and I was forced to go back to my lane with the exact same items I had started with. I assumed that it shouldn’t be too bad because my opponents hadn’t left the lane to shop either so they probably had no items the same as me, but that turned out to be wrong too as I checked their items and they both had a full inventories with some items with >1500 value according to he mouseover interface. I guess they used the shop that was beside our lane but I could never get close enough to it to see what items were there without dying because ranged champions in this game are obviously overpowered.
Around the time I finally got back to the lane my teammate was pinging the enemies telling me to go, so I activated my healing potion to give me that little extra bit of health regen and charged in with my third skill, which unsuprisingly resulted in me being stunned again for 20 seconds until death and my teammate instantly starting some kind of vote to get me kicked from the game. The vote didn’t actuallly pass but I decided to leave the game anyways rather than listen to the constant whining.
So yeah, if you want to play the moba game with the worst community and most unbalanced champions go for HeroesON, but I’m sticking with LoL even if HeroesON decides to copy every other aspect of our game, which they are obviously trying to do in the belief that it will delay their games’ inevitable death.
